 Promoting R&D activities using the Keihanna Info-Communication Open Laboratory and offering suggestions for improving the research environment of the Laboratory
   
 Supporting R&D projects conducted at the Keihanna Info-Communicaton Open Laboratory
   
 Investigation of R&D activities in the fields related with the Keihanna Info-Communication Open Laboratory, promoting exchange and partnerships with related institutes and organizations, and developing PR activities

The purpose
 

Established to promote effective use of the Keihanna Info-Communication Open Laboratory by encouraging "ICT" research and development through collaboration between industry, academia and government, and to develop new technologies, human resources and new industries, thereby fulfilling the Kansai region's role in developing the world's leading ICT economy and revitalizing the Kansai economy.

 
The business
 
  * To create an environment that makes the laboratory open and easy to use.
  * Budgetary requirements of the open laboratory should be met to ensure that researches are successfully carried out at the open laboratory.
  * Coordinating business with NICT
   
+ To outline research and development projects. To ensure that it is supported by the consortium.
+ Publicizing the results of the research and development and the utilization of the facility.
+ Exploring options such as PR, including the exchange of information with other related organizations
 
Membership
 
  * Organizations and individuals that support propelling collaboration between industry, academia and government.
(Active participation of venture companies is welcome.)
 
The induction fee
 
  * The fee is 50,000 yen per year.
  * Individual and groups, such as universities and venture companies, admitted by the chief director of the council may receive fee exemptions.
  * Additional cost might be necessary when participating in a specific project.
